Who can I connect to with Klose By?

A: You can connect to anyone using an iOS 8+ mobile device with the Klose By App open and Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi on.

Do I need a connection to use Klose By?

A: Klose By uses either Bluetooth or Wi-Fi network hardware to provide connectivity between you and others in your vicinity. The App will locate those who are on the same Wi-Fi network or have their Bluetooth active.

Is Klose By really private?

A: Yes. Klose By does not require registration and you do not need to provide any personal information to use our App. We do not maintain a data server for it. Your shared content is sent directly from your device to the devices of the people with whom you are connected. Our opinion: Klose By is the most private social sharing App on your device.

Why do I not see someone close to me in the “Who is Klose By” panel?

A: The Klose By App must be the active App (the screen in the forefront of your device) to connect with others in your vicinity. You will see others who also have the Klose By App active. An audible notification can announce when people are available with a ring tone. This ring tone announcement can be turned on/off in the Klose By settings panel.

On iOS, how does Klose By know whether to choose Bluetooth or Wi-Fi?

A: Klose By automatically chooses the best mode of connectivity. You can turn on/off Bluetooth or Wi-Fi in the iOS settings if you wish to only connect using one of these options.

What if Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both off, but there is 3G/4G cellular/mobile connectivity?

A: You can share content to other social networks, email or text via the Klose By “Social Share” functionality (the 'share button' located on the far left of the bottom toolbar), what we call 'global sharing'. Social Share utilizes your active cellular/mobile 3G/4G network connection and does not depend on Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
